Getting from Buenos Aires Airport to Buenos Aires Cruise Terminal

The cruise terminal is located about 1/2 mile from the center of Buenos Aires.  There are multiple options to get from the Buenos Aires Airport to the Buenos Aires cruise ship terminal. They include bus, private shuttle bus, private town car, taxi and car rental. Below are the costs of the various modes of transportation between Buenos Aires cruise ship terminal and the Buenos Aires air terminal.  Check out all the transportation options -- you might be surprised about which mode of transport is the best value.  If your ship is moored at one of the outlying docks at the port, a complimentary shuttle bus is provided to deliver you to your ship.

Taking a Taxi Cab between Buenos Aires Cruise Ship Terminal and Buenos Aires International Airport 

Municipal taxis can be found outside the terminals at authorized taxi ranks and are very reasonable. Do not take a taxi offered inside the terminal buildings or hail one from the street - only access the authorized municipal taxi outside the terminals. 

Taxis throughout the city are metered in pesos, but US currency is accepted. However, it is recommended that you only take radio taxis called in advance by the restaurant, shop, hotel, or cruise terminal.  At the cruise terminal, there are radio taxis available with pre-set prices to the various neighborhoods in the city. You will also find complimentary shopping shuttle buses for your convenience at the port. A word of caution: While Buenos Aires is definitely a walking city; start your tour using the transportation at the port to get you to a specific destination. The streets around the port area are not safe to travel on your own.

Taking a Rental Car between Buenos Aires Cruise Ship Terminal and Buenos Aires International Airport 


All the international car rental agencies are available in Buenos Aries.  The following car rental agencies are located in the area connecting Terminals A & B: Avis, Dollar, Hertz, Thrifty, Localiza Rent-a-Car.  It is less expensive to rent a car at the airport than in the city, but it is recommended that you only rent a car if you intend to travel outside of Buenos Aires.  Public transport, the subway and the bus, is reliable and inexpensive.

Taking a Town Car between Buenos Aires Cruise Ship Terminal and Buenos Aires International Airport 

Chauffeur services are also available by Transfer Express and Manuel Tienda Leon, departing from both terminals. There is a shuttle service from the airport provide by Manuel Tiende Leon.  In addition, outside the arrivals area of the terminals you can find luxury transportation.

Money Saving Advice when Buying a Cruise from Buenos Aires

  • Best advice we can give: the earlier you book, the better. Prices for early bookers tend to be lower, and, the best cabins out of Buenos Aires may sell out early. 
  • High season for cruises from Buenos Aires is "whenever the kids" are out of school. Christmas, Spring Break, Thanksgiving and Summer are when the prices tend to be highest. Lower prices prevail in September (when kids go back to school), right after Thanksgiving, and in January thru February when the kids return to school.
